Increase in jobs on sector1.net
There are more jobs than ever before on sector1.net. This is good news for job seekers and proof that there are opportunities, despite the doom and gloom reported daily on job losses.
The recently relaunched jobs website carried 2753 jobs in the month of October, which was over 1500 more than the previous month.
Lilian Hughes, Managing Director of Pearsons said "sector1.net carries vacancies across all sectors and it is encouraging so soon after the relaunch to experience such a high increase in the number of jobs being advertised".
"We made the decision to refresh and broaden sector1.net to a wider client base and following the relaunch at the beginning of October 08 are pleased with the early results. Clients benefit from cost effective online recruitment solutions and the results that we have achieved for them help position the site as the number 1 place for online recruitment".
Job seekers visiting the site have also increased by 55%. Lilian continued: "a marketing campaign around the time of the launch ensured that we maximised awareness of the new sector1.net offer to job seekers. We also used online techniques such as viral marketing to promote the increased number of vacancies. The latest online tools mean that job seekers can get immediate access to the vacancies as they are uploaded either through text or email alerts - this speeds up the whole process. Candidates can also join talent pools so that when relevant vacancies arise employers can contact them immediately".
sector1.net was launched by Pearsons 8 years ago in 2000, and has continuously developed to meet the needs of the changing market place.
